The events of the past few days and weeks have once again shone a spotlight on the deep injustices that continue to define our society’s narrative. There is a double standard that has existed in this country for far too long. This is not new - but we can no longer remain silent.
Speck Design is a proudly Black-owned business. We stand in unwavering solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and all the victims of racism and police brutality. Together, we fight for justice and we #SayTheirNames. We want to make it clear that our team is committed to actively fighting against systemic racism, white supremacy and the daily injustices against Black communities. We stand against police brutality and a criminal justice system that disproportionately targets Black Americans.
We recognize our words hold value, but the real work is in our actions. We must move in opposition to racism today and every day - in our world, our systems, our communities, our families, our conversations, our thought-patterns. This requires intentional, strong, sustained action.

This is lifelong work. The process of undoing, unlearning, and reeducating goes on indefinitely. Together, we have the power to change the status quo. Change is hard-won, but we are committed to this fight.
